The editor notes: 'We are indebted to an occasional contributor for the following song, printed at the great procession in favour of Reform, which took place in Glasgow, on Tuesday, October 16, 1866.' Published at the time of the agitation for the third reform bill in 1884, this song from 1866 shows the importance in the Reform tradition of a radical poetic lineage.
