This poem asserts support for the Franchise Bill and for Gladstone, who is referred to as still talking like a 'fresh 'un', despite his age.  The refrain throughout the poem is: 'Hi! who's for the procession?' - presumably a reference to the massive Glasgow Franchise Demonstration in September 1884.
