This poem of 22 lines attacks 'ruthless Monarchs' and 'Imperial and malignant foes', favouring instead 'kindly brotherhood'. See poems by same (?), 'Lamentation for Italy', 'A Political Veteran Still in Existence'. These works suggest that 'Paisleyonian' saw reform in truly European terms.
